By special appointment the Connecticut Supreme Court Chief Justice,
Chase Rogers, Attorney Melchionne has been added to the Court's
Committee on foreclosures. The Committee is charged with addressing
the coming flood of foreclosure cases in Connecticut. In some of
the major cities, foreclosures have increased as much as 500% in
the last few months and many more are expected over the next year.
It will be necessary to adjust current Superior Court procedures
and rules to both accommodate the increase as well as find ways to
mediate foreclosure disputes allowing homeowners to keep their
homes.
